Phenol price likely to decline in India due to slow off-takes from the end users – 30 Oct 2014

 Phenol prices expected to decrease in India from the onset of November 2014 due to decrease in booking price of the chemical. A prominent trader told the  website the latest booking price of phenol is at $ 1550 per metric tonne which declined from $ 1,600 per metric tonne.

Currently bulk price of phenol at Ex-Kandla port is Rs.110 per kg and it is expecting  that price will go down furhter by Rs.3-4 per kg due to slow demand in major markets of India.

 Traders expecting that S.I group will also decrease its phenol price due to import price parity.Current price of SI group is Rs.121 per kg

“There is around 12000 metric tonne stock of phenol lying at Kandla-port”, source said.
