Uncertainty in International Markets Prevents Indian MEG Buyers from Deciding Purchases – 4 Dec 2014

MEG buyers are holding back their purchases in the prospect of further price downslides, resulting in dull demand prevailing in the country's markets. Price fluctuations in international markets also created uncertainty among buyers in deciding their purchases.
Ex-Kandla and Ex-Mumbai price increased by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 62.60 per kg which is the prevailing price of the glycol inspite of that MEG market is unpredictable. Importers or Big traders cut-off their MEG stocks by around 60%.
Booking price came down around $85 /MT to $ 915/MT (prevailing booking price). Current offer price of MEG is $ 845/MT South Korea.
