Dec 05, 2014
Traders from a major chemical market told the website that consumption of aniline by the end user segment, specially the dye intermediate and rubber chemical industries have shrunk, resulting in the moderate to weak Aniline demand conditions.
It is learned that, huge inventory of the chemical is available with the domestic producer and even traders have ample stock of Aniline including both the domestic as well as the imported variant of the chemical. Moreover, the booking price of the chemical has declined by $150/MT in the last few weeks and its prevailing price has come down to USD 1400 per metric tonne CIF India.
The current basic price for Aniline issued by GNFC is Rs.99 per kg in the state of Gujarat and it is Rs. 98 per kg for other states. This price revision has brought the previous basic price down by Rs. 3 per kg. An official from GNFC told the website, "Prevailing demand is moderate these days but demand is expected to rise at the end of January, 2015 due to active off-takes from end users at that moment."
He further added, Cause of slow demand not only influence by the sliding of Crude oil price but also due to buyers are waiting for further lowering of the Aniline price.
