PS demand likely to rise in India – 29 Dec 2014

Styrene based GPPS and HIPS demand condition was reported to be bullish in major markets of India. On communication with the source, Indianpetrochem gathered information that on going prevailing market trend demand for the material is likely to go up in coming days. The International market sentiment is trying to pickup the market movement in the country due to recent stabilizing of the Crude Oil prices. Polystyrene is the commonly used in fibers and as resins in the medical industry.

According to input received, the demand for GPPS and HIPS is likely to go in the upward direction by the first week of January and end-users are taking interest to purchase the material.

In Delhi market today, the price of GPPS and HIPS (LG) grade of Polystyrene was quoted at around Rs. 104-104.5 a kg and Rs. 108-109 a kg respectively.
