Dec 29, 2014
The Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) demand condition was reported to be active in Indian major markets. According to market participant, Indianpetrochem gathered information that the stock of PVC have gone down in Indian markets due to Importers in the country abstaining from booking fresh consignments as the material was abundant in the country's markets during the last one to two months. After the demand picked up, the stocks in the country's markets started to fall, thus creating shortage of stocks, resulting in open market prices going up.
The situation indicates that producers in the country are likely to revise upward the price.
In Delhi market today, the price of Suspension (LS-100) grade of PVC was stated at around Rs. 74-75 a kg respectively.
