Refinery in Vidarbha: Lobby continues to push for one – 22 Jun 2021

There was a recent conference that tried to kickstart the long-standing demand for a refinery in the Vidarbha region.

At the conference, it was said that a 900 km pipeline will need to serve the refinery and the refinery will cost around Rs 10,000 crore

It has been a long-standing political demand that a public sector refinery be set up, but no one is biting the bullet, as there are already huge coastal refineries in the area, catering to the demand from Vidarbha.

But there is a lobby group that continues to push for a refinery there
