Torrent brings in an LNG cargo all the way from the US – 15 Jun 2021

Torrent Power has brought in a cargo of LNG all the way from Sabine Pass for its power plants

Torrent is one of the few power companies running their gas-based power plants on LNG

The fact that they have their own captive distribution set up helps in the offtake of power, which otherwise would not pass muster under India's merit order power offtake rules
