The total capital cost for the 5 MMTPA Chhara LNG project s been estimated at Rs. 4,293.02 crore

It is now HPCL owned, and is being funded with a debt-equity mix of 70:30

The LNG project will have provisions for expansion of capacity up to 10 MMTPA in the future; the utilities, flare header and unloading lines are being designed for handling higher capacity

As against scheduled progress of ~86%, the actual progress achieved till May 2021 is ~60%
