Chemical imports: The downward trend continues – 27 May 2021

The latest data shows import inventories lined up for shipment is down to around 79 lakh tonnes

This is a wide deviation from the normal 99 lakh to 1 MMTA that is lined up on our import database

This is a huge 21% fall

However this may not be wholly accurate as different factors may be at play other than lockdowns, cyclones and other such exogenous factors
