Crude cargo movements: Down about 10% – 3 May 2021

May 03, 2021

As of today 7.2 million metric tonnes of crude is lined up for Indian ports

Not a bad number but it is down more than 10% from peak levels noticed in the past

Still difficult to say whether this is a temporary blip or induced by the lockdown

Movement control is good, with no long waitings noticed

Also, at the ground level all crude vessel movements continue to be normal at all ports and anchorages - with no disruptions, delays, congestion reported till date
