India facing high fossil fuel consumption challenge: Official – 19 Mar 2021

India is facing a "challenge of high fossil fuel consumption", a senior official said on Thursday, stressing the need for adopting non-polluting electric vehicles to contribute to energy goals. Climate change is a growing challenge the world over and there is increasing momentum for the transition towards a low carbon economy, Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power said.
