BHEL has tasted success in its first downstream venture, after bagging a SRU project in Panipat in collaboration with EIL

It has put in a bid for a SRU in Barauni but decided not to go with EIL

And not it wants to get into all downstream projects, and it is looking for multiple partnerships

Given that coal-based power projects have all but dried up, BHEL can be expected to go to any lengths to get new business

Existing players will need to watch out for this company, it is most definitely going to intrude into their turf
