Already, the government has unleashed a slew of measures to reduce import dependency in oil & gas

But clearly the opposite has happened so far, dependency has gone up, not down

There is now an acknowledgment that fresh thinking is needed with 2025 as a benchmark, and the government is taking the first steps towards that
