Sorry state: Four out of six LNG terminals without any cargo as of today – 10 Feb 2021
Feb 10, 2021
As many as five LNG vessels are currently lined up for processing at GAIL's Dabhol terminal, taking advantage of the fair-weather window.
Clearly, once the breakwater facilities are built by L&T, Dabhol will become a big all-year-round asset for GAIL.
Ironically, all of India's LNG trade is confined to just two of the six active terminals.
Either because of a faulty business model or on account of lack of demand or the unavailability of evacuation networks, four of the six terminals are without any LNG vessels to unload as of the moment. Curren JKM prices continue to remain too high for independent terminals like Shell's Hazira complex to come back to business again
