Indian Oil turns indigenous methacrylate copolymer technology into a commercial manufacturing award for Godrej Industries – 29 Sep 2026

Indian Oil is moving its internally developed lubricant-additive technology from the R&D ecosystem into an external manufacturing arrangement.

Godrej Industries has secured the 5,000 kg mandate at Rs 30.33 lakh under tightly specified production and testing conditions.

The strategic question is whether this becomes a template for commercialising more Indian Oil-developed additive chemistry.
