Deepak Globalchem’s Rs. 1,350-crore proposed facilities gain Positive outlook

ICRA’s assessment rests on consolidated Deepak group operations, while the Singapore trading subsidiary’s rated facilities remain identified as proposed.

Deepak Globalchem’s proposed bank facilities have received a Positive outlook following improvements in the wider Deepak group’s feedstock position, with ICRA reaffirming AA- and removing the rating from watch.

The October 15 report covers Rs. 1,260 crore of proposed non-fund-based working-capital facilities and Rs. 90 crore of proposed cash credit. Aggregate rated coverage remains Rs. 1,350 crore, unchanged from the previous assessment.

The proposed classification is important. These amounts establish the scale of facilities considered by the rating agency, rather than proving that the subsidiary has drawn an equivalent amount of debt or completed a new financing transaction.

Incorporated in Singapore on April 23, 2025, Deepak Globalchem is wholly owned by Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation. It undertakes wholesale trading in fuels and related products and supports the group’s international commodity-trading activities.

ICRA uses a consolidated analytical approach because of managerial, operational and financial linkages across group entities. The financial table is explicitly labelled DFPCL consolidated: its Rs. 11,506-crore FY2026 operating income and Rs. 738.8-crore profit must therefore not be presented as Deepak Globalchem’s standalone results.

The immediate credit support comes from Henry Hub-linked Equinor gas supplies and stable ammonia production at Performance Chemiserve. The report also identifies expected benefits from the group’s advanced TAN and nitric-acid projects, whose commissioning and ramp-up remain outstanding execution conditions.

No separate trading revenue, margin, customer concentration or facility utilisation is supplied for Globalchem. The rating improvement consequently reflects the consolidated business assessment and expected group earnings trajectory, while leaving the subsidiary’s individual operating performance outside the disclosed financial evidence.
